Kristof Buntinx’ design shop opened its doors
Last week, designer Kristof Buntinx opened the doors of his very first physical shop. It is located at the foot of the Atomium in Brussels.
Professionals can now literally indulge in the colourful designs by Kristof Buntinx. He offers numerous cheerful coffee and tea mugs, trays, luxurious pillows, mood lamps, lunch boxes and other irresistible gadgets at "Home, Living & Go", the new cash & carry concept from Trade Mart Brussels.
“It’s an inspiring place, full of vibrant experiences,” says Kristof. “Until recently, my accessories and creations were only available in a web shop. Now I have my first physical shop at Trade Mart, a place that I’ve found intriguing since my teenage years. When I was young, I was not allowed to enter, so I did everything I could to get a glimpse of what was going on behind the doors of this heavenly place. It seemed like a real treasure house, and I was so curious! Lo and behold: now I’m presenting my own treasures here.”
Kristof is more than ready for it. With his selection of accessories and creations at Trade Mart he would like to make design accessible to everyone who loves a colourful home. “I’m not giving up haute couture. With my shop at Trade Mart I want to do what brands such as Alessi, Vitra or Marimekko do. They are known for their optimistic designs, bold prints and affordable articles. I hope that interior architects, stylists, furniture and interior concept stores will soon find their way to my stand!”
